Ana Lucía Divins

Therapeutic Singer & Sound Practitioner

Ana Lucía Divins is a Colombian-born artist, therapeutic vocalist, sound practitioner, and community leader who creates music-based experiences that support relaxation, emotional well-being, and human connection. With more than 15 years of experience, she brings together live music, therapeutic singing, sound, and culturally responsive programming through sound baths, wellness workshops, retreats, live performances, and community programs.

Ana Lucía is internationally certified as a Holistic Voice Therapist through the British Academy of Sound Therapy and as a Certified Music Practitioner through the Music for Healing and Transition Program. Her approach combines evidence-informed practices in therapeutic music and sound with her experience as a professional artist and her Colombian cultural heritage.

Her work has been shared in healthcare settings, corporate wellness programs, cultural institutions, community organizations, retreats, and events in the United States, Colombia, Greece, Spain, and the United Kingdom. From singing at patients’ bedsides to leading immersive sound experiences and performing for large audiences, Ana Lucía creates spaces where people can pause, reconnect, and restore.

An award- and grant-winning artist, Ana Lucía was selected as a performer for the 2021 inauguration of North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and the Council of State. She has also shared her work with global teams at Squarespace and participated in the First Lady of North Carolina’s #AtHomeWithFloNC arts initiative. In 2023, she received the Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Arts & Science Council of Charlotte-Mecklenburg, which supported the continued development of her artistic and wellness practice, including studies with musician and holistic voice therapist Nessi Gomes in Amorgos, Greece.

Ana Lucía’s work is also deeply personal. As a survivor of kidnapping during the Colombian civil war, she experienced firsthand the role music can play in healing, resilience, and transformation. This journey led her to explore the relationship between music, sound, and emotional well-being through both her artistic practice and professional training.

Her debut album, Emerging, reflects this journey at the intersection of music, healing, culture, and community. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Ana Lucía works locally and internationally with individuals, organizations, and communities seeking meaningful and restorative experiences through music and sound.

Ana Lucía Divins and Carlos Crespo, the enchanting duo known as The Divins Duet, craft original new-age world music that invites listeners on a serene journey of healing, inner connection, and peace. Their performances wave uplifting Latin tunes, their original songs and their deeply relaxing sound bath experience featuring healing melodies created in the moment.

Ana Lucia, a Colombian singer and therapeutic musician, lends her soft, melodic vocals, while Carlos, an Ecuadorian guitarist, weaves unique, uplifting tunes. In the summer of 2024, they released their debut healing music album, “Emerging,” in collaboration with other talented musicians. Available on all digital platforms, this album is shared through intimate performances and sound baths, offering a deeply relaxing and uplifting experience.“Emerging” transcends mere music; it serves as a daily reminder of new beginnings, healing, transformation, and embracing life’s offerings. It is a sonic journey mirroring life’s ebb and flow, from dawn’s gentle awakening to night’s tranquil embrace. This album is a soundtrack for life, a testament to music’s transformative power, guiding listeners through life’s transitions and cycles.

Carlos Crespo is a talented musician and music creator. He formed and performs regularly with his alternative rock band Dorian Gris, and he and Divins have been creating music together for many years through their Latin jazz music project Café Amaretto. Together, they have developed this new music concept, creating and sharing healing music in sound baths, performances at community events and festivals, and private events.
